Ps. 68:19 – Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.
I rarely discuss my life, family or personal issues online, including my blog. In fact, as you will note, both from my comments and the disparity in time frames, I’ve done little with my blog for some time now, choosing instead to post on my own Facebook page.
In fact, past or present, anyone who has followed me since first going online 10 years ago knows that I have never written any article or posted any personal piece on Thanksgiving or Christmas, unless it pertained to the ACLU meddling in these affairs.
That has now changed. I cannot stay silent. Please follow what I’m saying. There’s a reason I’m doing this; in fact, there may be a host of reasons. You might be blest from reading this is one. Another is you might be able to relate. Yet another is you may need Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior which, if just one person comes to Him thru this piece, these personal reflections and comments fulfilled an eternal purpose.
And still another reason you may want to consider all I’ve said, a reason that may not occur to you, is this.
I want to share my Thanksgiving blessings with you – literally; that is, if you are within traveling distance of my home. I want to bless you in the worst, rather best, way possible.
Oh, and I’ll do my darndest to make this as brief and concise as I can, though that won’t be easy, considering that the timeline of events shared below are so woven together that it’s difficult to leave items out. Nevertheless, for time sake, I will. But regardless of whether you can come this Thursday – and I’ll share specifics at the end, please read on.
As you may or may not know, my family has been in a financial crisis for roughly the last three years. After a job layoff in June of 2009, Doris and I had collected unemployment compensation and exhausted all our benefits in May of this year. For nearly 2½ years now, we have gone thru the vicious cycle of filling out job applications, both online and in person, e-mailing and faxing resumes and much more. I do not exaggerate when I say the number of in-person interviews for the both of us over the last 29 months can be counted on two hands. That’s how bad the job market has been, no doubt in large part due to Obama’s and Democrat policies; however, we’ll leave that as it is for the moment. Job income has been limited to working a few days for a temp agency last month.
We have been in and out of foreclosure for nearly the last year and a half and by the grace of God alone we are still here in the Indiana home we purchased just 4½ years ago. The details of how this has worked out thus far are nothing short miraculous but by no means are we out of the woods. In fact, there is a sheriff’s sale set for this property in a few weeks but that is not what I want to share with you in this piece, other than we were supposed to have one at the start of this year but God somehow sovereignly intervened.
I can attest to you that since unemployment expired 5 months ago and with only three months of meager state financial assistance (cut off in September), we still have our gas, water, phone and electricity on. Our township trustee’s office, along with a cooperating church they work with (shhhhh – don’t tell the ACLU), helped pay a chunk of our gas, water and electric in exchange for personal labor at a local cemetery, something I was delighted to do. Our IRA had long ago depleted so as you can see, we have largely lived by faith.
Though I am reluctant to admit it, we were forced by the lack of jobs and income to apply for a food stamp card back in June. Anyone who knows me knows I don’t want to depend on government subsidies for anything; however, our financial situation forced us to do so. Regardless, I thank God for it and as my witness, He knows we have not abuse its privileges as so many folks there have, buying lobster, filet mignon and other costly food items.
And before I move on to share my unbelievable testimonial, in case you’re wondering what happened to our mortgage payments during this crisis, for some mysterious reason our mortgage company largely ceased asking for payments until late September this year. In fact, for five of those months, we got no calls, letters, zilch from Citibank. There are so many intricate details as to what occurred during this entire time of foreclosure that is too time consuming to share but suffice it to say God’s hand was in it. Two individuals, a gospel singer from California and a businessman from Maryland, were recently blessed and used to God to help with the lions share of my need when the lender suddenly made large demands of due payments. They obviously shall remain anonymous but God knows who they are and I owe them eternal thanks and tons of love for their extreme generosity.
OK, moving on to this thoroughly amazing testimony.
Last Monday, Nov. 14th, I received a phone call from the trustee’s office (the same one who helped pay our utilities, though they could not do so this month), stating that the Portage Township High School Student Council voted to supply my family Thanksgiving dinner this year. While financially indigent (yes, I do hate to admit it), thanks to our generous food stamp card benefits, we were not hurting for food and have never in our lives needed food assistance at any time. We have no clue how the student council of the local high school (where my 15 year old autistic son attends) got wind of our need but perhaps the proximity of the school to the trustee’s office being walking distance from each other had something to do with it.
Anyway, the very polite young lady (yes, surprisingly, many Hoosiers who work for government entities in this state are that way) told me to go the senior center on the other side of the city on Friday to pick up our dinner. I was stunned at the call and was briefly inclined to take a pass but not wanting to insult the graciousness of the offer, humbly said thanks and told her I would be there. The office had also previously extended an offer to buy my son a Christmas gift so obviously I was moved at the offer of generosity.
As I headed to the senior center late Friday afternoon (running late), I entered the dining facility which had an appearance cafeteria style with permanently attached tables and chairs. On each of these tables were nine to ten bags of non-perishable grocery items and a turkey to boot. Now as I observed these tables, my thinking was one of two things – either the bags were for individuals and families who were completely destitute of food or that they were all bags individually lined up on the tables because of space limitations.
My thinking going in was that I would get a turkey and maybe a full bag of groceries, possible two or three at the very most. Having once been an employee for the Christian Broadcasting Network when it had a Chicago chapter, I was familiar with how Operation Blessing centers and similarly other food pantries operate.
And having read the stories of how food distribution centers are in dire straits today due to food and monetary shortages with one particular one in an affluent suburb of Chicago reported as having no money to run an operation this season, I certainly did not expect anything out of the ordinary. Again, we were in no big need of any food for Thanksgiving as we had adequate funds in the food stamp card to do so. I would be blest with one bag and a turkey, though we could have bought a turkey on our own.
Well, we did end up buying a turkey on our own; for Christmas, that is. That in more detail further on.
The trustee himself was there at the senior facility and after I came up to him and gave him my name, he checked it off on his list and pointed to one particular table. That table had NINE bags and the turkey. I was completely stunned as I could not believe that we were going to receive that much food. This 51 year old grown man was moved to tears.
And to make things even more moving, the trustee personally assisted me in bringing all these items home. Our car is down so he personally took me, my personal cart (for which I anticipated carrying no more than 3 bags) and the groceries home. Doris saw the two of us bringing all this food in and she began to cry as well.
What were we going to do with all this food? Our kitchen cabinets, which were already adequately stocked, were about to be filled well beyond capacity. Nine bags of groceries obviously indicated that all its contents were not going to be for Thanksgiving alone.
And they weren’t. There was food for far beyond the holidays. And let me further state that these nine bags were not solely filled with items containing white generic labels and from Aldi’s stores as one might expect from a food pantry. There indeed was food from Aldi’s but there were absolutely no generically named items. We did get a fair amount of items with store brand labels but we got an equal amount, if not much more, of name brand items, brand names. The items came from Aldi’s, Wal-Mart, Super K-Mart as well as a couple other neighborhood grocers and quite likely elsewhere as well. Incredible!
To say we were shocked at the amount of items, plus the brand name stuff, would be a monumental understatement.
Time does not permit me to name all the items we got but suffice it to say they were the usual canned and boxed items as well as food items not normally associated with coming from a food panty, like a fancy cookie maker with premium cookies.
Needless to say, my family has been blest beyond measure. But despite it all, I still was rather depressed over the weekend from our mortgage situation as well as a shoulder injury I suffered in the spring of last year while campaigning for a candidate for Indiana’s then available U.S. Senate seat. The shoulder injury had minimal impact on my daily living but it has increased somewhat in intensity over the last couple weeks and has greatly affected my nightly sleep.
Yet the tangible measure of blessing was a clear indication that God was greatly moving in my life and that if He could take care of the physical needs, He would do so the rest.
Nine bags and a turkey, wow! Hard to imagine.
But believe it or not, that was not the end of the blessings. Yes, even harder to believe.
Yesterday afternoon with the TV on, surfing the Internet and doing routine housework, we see a car pull up to the side of the house. At first I thought it would be someone from the sheriff’s office but then I saw the trustee and a middle aged woman coming out of the car and towards the house with a few boxes in hand.
Oh no, I thought, are we going to be further blest? We don’t need any more stuff. Our cupboards are already at capacity.
But who were we to deny someone the blessing of further blessing us?
The trustee had said they had food left over that could not be delivered so he comes this way and delivers more food items, nowhere near as much as on Friday but still a fairly good amount. And this time, along with the food, we get a giant case of toilet paper as well a batch of napkins and paper towels, things we were going to soon need anyway. Doris and I discussed the need for toilet paper so look at what happened.
And if you can believe this, we got another turkey as well. I was beyond humbled. I was at a complete loss for words.
We normally would have planned for that turkey to be ours for Christmas but we had picked up a second one from Super K-Mart this past Saturday, the reason being was that the turkey was just a measly $5. So when we returned home Saturday from our loose ends shopping, we put the second turkey in the freezer, thinking it was for Christmas.
How wrong we were once we saw a third turkey being delivered yesterday Monday.
Well, with our freezer being previously full from our short shopping spree Saturday, we had no place to put the third turkey (the original from Friday currently sits in the fridge) so we temporarily put it in the garage. And this morning with it gradually thawing out, we sacrificed a shelf box to fit the third one in.
Amazingly, we got the turkey in the freezer, a total of two there and one in the fridge.
We are literally loaded with benefits, far beyond almost any human comprehension, as the Psalmist wrote in the 68th Psalm. This cannot be explained in simple human terms. This was the miraculous. I don’t know if township tax dollars went towards these provisions but I don’t believe they were, given area churches knack to assist.
This brings me to what I am so dying to share with you.
And that is I need your help this Thanksgiving. I need your help to get people to come to our home this Thursday.
If you have no place to go for Thanksgiving or you don’t know what to do and you live in the Chicago area or within a reasonable radius of Chicagoland, I want you to seriously consider joining the Kareiva household for a memorable meal with lots and lots of leftovers to take home, including some of the excess items we so generously received. I realize this is on short notice but it was after the second blessing yesterday that I was prompted to put out this request. I only regret that I couldn’t get out this e-mail sooner.
Regardless of whether you are in proximity of our Northwest Indiana home, I also need your help to e-mail any friends, family members or other contacts in the metro Chicago, Northwest Indiana or Southwest Michigan who have nowhere to go for Thanksgiving or are unsure where to go. I want to bless as many people as possible with an unforgettable Thanksgiving dinner. Due to space limitations in the house, we can’t accommodate everyone but at minimum I’d love to bless at least 5-10 people who want to share in our Thanksgiving bounty. I would be so disappointed if no one took me up on my offer. I am a fabulous cook and I want to make a fabulous Thanksgiving dinner for as many as our home can accommodate. We have virtually everything you’d want for Thanksgiving so if you or someone you know is thinking about dining out, save your money and come here.
Luke 14:13-14 – But when you make a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind .And you shall be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for you shall be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.
While this scripture may not totally be fulfilled in its context, I cannot adequately express the desire I have to serve you or anyone you may know this Thursday, rich, poor or in between and otherwise. I can and will guarantee that anyone making the trip here will have the best of food, fun and Christian fellowship.
Please contact me thru Facebook or at email@example.com to let me know if you can come and for directions to our home. Provide contact info and I’ll respond in short order.
Also, if anyone is considering coming a long distance to come here, we will put you up for the night or if that doesn’t work, provide a list of inexpensive lodging facilities near our home. We want to make your Thanksgiving one for the memory books. We guarantee not to disappoint. I promise!
I anticipate your response and hopeful visit from you or your contacts. God bless you!
P.S. I am hesitant to make a political statement in light of the Thanksgiving holiday but unfortunately the news out there forces me to address it. Had I not seen this on my Facebook page last nite and on World Net Daily, the following wouldn’t be forthcoming.
The last thing I wanted to do is spoil anyone’s Thanksgiving by talking about Islam and its connection in my testimonial. But the fact of the matter is Butterball has brought this upon itself and it’s going to be up to them to correct it. I won’t say too much else except that the company has no business and no reason to do halal for any reason. Muslims must conform to the American and humane way when it comes down to preparing animals for food. Halal is unacceptable in American culture, period.
And because the turkey I was delivered on Friday, the first of the three altogether, is a Butterball and thus the one we will be serving, I must disclose this information to you.
Personally, while I am not exactly thrilled to serve a turkey that may have been processed other than the traditional American way, I take the words of Paul the Apostle in I Cor. 8:4-9, particularly vs. 4, as scripturally permissible .
Putting it in the modern day setting, if the turkey I serve this Thursday was done in dedication to Allah, I would promptly renounce it in the name of Jesus Christ since Paul viewed idols as nothing and then dedicate the meat to be partaken to the Lord Almighty.
Since this particular turkey was given to us and not paid for by us and since I became aware of this matter after we received it last Friday, I see no problem serving it. It will be blessed in prayer prior to consumption on Thursday. But that said, I will not be buying Butterballs in the future unless the company abandons its dedication to halal.
However, if someone wants to come but hesitates because his or her conscience will be troubled by consuming this particular turkey, I will happily cook another great meal (though not another turkey) for him or her out of the many other delicious food items I have in my freezer. I want this Thanksgiving to be the best possible for everyone coming, despite things being really bad in our once great nation. I want to share our blessings with as many folks as possible. Jesus stated in Matt. 10:8, “Freely you have received, freely give“. That’s what I hope to do on Thursday, praying that even on short notice I can bless at least 5-10 people with a fabulous Thanksgiving dinner.
Thanks in advance for spreading the word.
I haven’t been doing much of anything with my blog for a long time for myriads of reasons but now I can no longer stay silent. I am forced to speak out and am using this venue to do so.
Up until maybe three or four weeks ago, I was back and forth with who to support for the Republican presidency next year. In one sense, none of the current 9 candidates vying for the White House really deserve the presidency because virtually none of them have called Barry out on his constitutional ineligibility for the presidency, let alone his bogus and fraudulent use of a Connecticut Social Security number and fraudulent Selective Service registration. A couple of them offered verbal tidbits (given the insignificance of their public statements, revealing their identities is not necessary) on Barry’s bogus birth certificate but essentially they are all mum on the issue. Despite my sore disappointment with that, I wanted to see if someone could come reasonably close to where I stand and think on the issues. And I finally thought I found that person.
But first, without going into too much detail, here’s a synopsis of why I have rejected the following candidates. I haven’t covered all of them but here are the primary players and my reasons for turning them down:
- Mitt Romney – this page totally covers it. Not one Christian or conservative should back him for these reasons. And this has zilch to do with his Mormonism, which is no issue for me as president, though I firmly believe it is a cult. The Constitution does not mandate a religious test. Romney should be rejected on the issues alone. I could vote for him if he was pro-life and pro-family. But he is not.
- Rick Perry – see here, here, here and here, sufficient enough to shoot him down.
- Michelle Bachmann – her past position as a tax lawyer is somewhat problematic but constitutionally speaking, the duties, obligations and qualifications listed in our U.S. Constitution are described as “he”. Our blessed document is gender neutral on senators and Congressmen but not so on the president. I believe the Founding Fathers never foresaw the day a woman would aspire to the highest office in the land. When the world’s “panic” button is about to be pushed, I want a strong man to make that decision to do so. Given a woman’s emotional makeup, I believe the attractive Minnesota Congresswoman would not have the clear and unobstructed thinking necessary for it. The president must be a man, end of story.
- Ron Paul – this is in one sense a very tough one as no other presidential candidate in recent memory champions liberty and the Constitution as this Texas legislator has. I cherish Ron Paul for this very reason alone. I firmly support his view that we must bring our troops home from across the world. America really should not be in other nations unless first attacked. We must make America indestructible as our late great 40th president firmly sought to do. However, someone who fails to recognize the threat of Islam to America and the world terribly frightens me and lacks serious vision to be our commander in chief. His vote to repeal Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell not once but twice is also appalling since he is a medical doctor by trade and his F grade on immigration all but seals my decision not to vote for him.
- Newt Gingrich – our former Speaker of the House is intelligent, mostly conservative and held his one during the recent Republican Party debates. But the biggest concern I have, the same one the president of World Net Daily does (the column is worth reading for other reasons, many of which I agree and some of which is already documented above), is his position on global warming. He also has his marriage failings but politically speaking, anyone whose view on a subject like this comes even remotely close to Al Gore poses real concerns for me.
- Rick Santorum – the former Pennsylvania senator is virtually unrivaled when it comes to his solid pro-life and pro-traditional marriage stance. He has taken multiple bullets for the pro-life and pro-family cause and without apology or compromise. His past debate with California Sen. Barbara Boxer on partial birth abortion is one for the pro-life Hall of Fame (the You Tube video associated with it is here but note that the sound quality is quite poor). His immigration grade, however, is as Ron Paul’s, per Numbers USA (big problem) and that likely stems from his Catholic upbringing. He’s also too pro-war for my liking as he backs the missions Mr. Paul wants to remove us from. But on moral values, second to none.
The others – Buddy Roemer, Jon Huntsman and Gary Johnson – no need to cover them as they have no realistic chance to win and Huntsman and Johnson are already undoable.
That leaves the one candidate who, for about a month now, I warmed up to and frankly, even got me juiced. In fact, I can’t recall a candidate in years that got me so excited.
That man is Herman Cain.
Most of the controversy surrounding his otherwise exciting campaign stems from his 9-9-9 plan to scrap the current tax code. While I have my own concerns about it, I do defer to him and the fact that certain facets of economics can be a little complex for my thinking. However, because the past director of fiscal policy of the well respected Cato Institute helped write Cain’s plan, along with the writer of this column who was a financial adviser in the Reagan Administration and who praises the plan, I figured that if these guys think it’s good, it’s going to be a benefit and boon to the nation’s economic climate.
My personal opinion is that a 10% sales tax on everything (except for food, clothing and medicine) and the abolition of the IRS and the tax code will do the trick because if 10% is good enough for the Lord, then why should the federal government get more? A 10% sales tax eliminates all tax cheats and ensures illegals in this country pay their fair share. I’d like to make sure that zero income gets taxed and all businesses have zero payroll tax.
But that aside for the moment, I’m content with the Cain fiscal outline for America.
Up until now, I’ve had few issues with the Cain campaign. I got pumped when I heard the former Godfather’s Pizza CEO state that he would not allow Muslims to be part of a Cain Administration (yes, I know about the religious test issue but I believe that is done away with when viewing the position of Islam as an ideology and not a religion) and that he would support an electrified fence to secure our porous borders.
But now he has, as the new political term goes, “walked back” his comments (noted here).
I am curious as to how Cain will be able to differentiate so-called peaceful Muslims from the so-called radicals. After all, since the Islamic doctrine of taqiyya permits Muslims to lie if there is a benefit to be gained in some way, I’d like to know how he thinks he’ll be able to accomplish this task, should he win the presidency and indeed appoint them. Last I checked, there are various versions of Muslims but only one Koran. That’s a problem.
As for Cain backing off of the electrified fence, he should have simply stated what America’s premier sheriff and hero recently said about it and ran with it. No need to back off. We need a deterrent at our borders and if such a fence is good enough for Sheriff Arpaio, it should be good enough for Cain. Arpaio doesn’t apologize for what he does with the illegals in his jurisdiction and neither should have Cain.
However, now we have problems, big problems. Watch this two minute video before proceeding.
In short, my support for America’s first real legitimate black president is ground to a halt.
In short, this position is unsupportable. This position is no different than someone saying he or she is pro-life but he or she cannot impose their decision or choice on others.
Cain’s choice of words here is “directive“.
I watched the video several times to see if I missed something. I don’t believe I did. Though the first few moments of the video appear to be redacted or simply missing, I hear a man initially telling me that he’s pro-life without exception, meaning no rape or incest. That thrilled me, considering so many politicians, both at the state and federal level, want to sound moderate by saying they have rape and incest exclusions. There’s no need for that because it’s never right to willfully kill a baby since babies never commit crimes. A simple explanation of birth facts closes the door to this left leaning argument. Yes, it goes without saying that a rape or incest victim who is pregnant will need tons of support, counseling and love. Such should be given in abundance and without question or delay. But in good conscience, no one should tell her to kill the child she’s carrying.
This is what is so sad. Cain says life begins at conception. It’s so heartwarming to hear that, only to be followed by the statement that abortion is a family matter to be decided without a government directive. That’s what the left and some on the mushy right say, adding that it’s a decision to be made with the woman’s or family doctor.
Can you say disconnect?
As a result, Cain has waded into the thorny issue of when is it OK, if at all, to limit when during a woman’s pregnancy that it’s permissible to abort and whether government should have any say-so on the matter. Should an abortion be permitted at 6 weeks? What about 3 months? What about 6 months? Is it OK to abort right up to birth?
Once you take an objective law, don’t kill, and replace it with something like, “well, it’s OK to kill babies in the womb because they are not yet born and thus not human beings“, then you have transformed it into a subjective law, decided by one’s personal whims instead of steadfast eternal principles. That’s why when we play God like this, laws that tell us not to kill human beings outside the womb, not to maim them, not to steal, not to lie, suddenly become common place and permissible in society.
In case you haven’t figured it out, those examples are outlined in the 10 Commandments. Any wonder why far left groups like the ACLU want to get rid of them?
The fact is this. Government does tell us to do things like pay your taxes, drive safely, buckle up, don’t steal, don’t kill, don’t pollute, etc. There are many good arguments to made to halt some of those things, like getting rid of our tax code and seat belt laws, both of which I firmly agree need to be scrapped. But the point here is that government does have a voice in our lives. And shouldn’t it have a voice in deciding the greatest liberty issue, whether an unborn child has the right to live?
Governments also place restrictions on what we do with our own bodies. Despite the questionable wisdom of overly aggressively enforcing some of our drug laws, for which I somewhat embrace Ron Paul’s position, we are told not to input certain substances like marijuana, crack, meth, heroin, etc. If these laws are viewed to be for the good of everyone in our nation, how much more laws telling women that they cannot deliberately kill a child housed in their bodies? The issue here is we’re talking another human being inside another, one of the key arguments liberals find so anguishing to accept.
The second paragraph in the Declaration of Independence reads “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that ALL men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are LIFE, liberty and the pursuit of happiness“. Is Cain willing to exclude those who may still be residing inside of a woman’s body in the name of abortion being a family matter? If so, then we’re not all created equal. And if so, then this issue becomes the equivalent of embracing slavery. And who in their proper faculties is willing to embrace that mindset today?
There was no president in recent decades who was more pro-life than George W. Bush. He had an error filled presidency, filled with too many big government initiatives. But one thing he stood tall on and that was life. True, his greatest legacy would have been to publicly declare that Roe vs. Wade be reversed and that Congress should pass a ban on abortion to do so. Next to that, he could have issued an executive order that the federal government would no longer subsidize taxpayer money for this grewsome inhumane act of humanity. But thanks to his administration, the Born Alive Infant Protection Act (BAIPA), a ban on partial birth abortion and a fetal pain disclosure measure all saw Mr. Bush’s signature. He fully believed in a “welcoming society”.
Oh, no doubt, President Bush could have done more for life, much more. But contrasted to the 100 pro-death bogus prez sitting in the Oval Office today, Mr. Bush did much for unborn humanity. And you clearly could see it whenever he was present around children.
A woman has lots of latitude to do as she wishes with her body and absent her doing anything to interfere with someone else’s life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, she is free to do as she pleases. And if she, just as with a guy, as part of her free spirit wants to have lots and lots of sex, she can go ahead and do it. I am, of course, not recommending that as that business really belongs in the confines of marriage. But as far as legislating and restricting such activity, any such actions fall outside the purview of government.
However, when a woman becomes pregnant, her previously virtual unrestricted liberty now becomes restricted for a 9 month period, or at least should be under a morally functioning society. During that time, she is not free to take drugs and poisons to kill her baby under penalty of law. She still has a so-called “right to choose”. But that choice is restricted to keeping her baby or consigning it up for adoption. However, based on Mr. Cain’s interview with CNN yesterday, one could easily infer that abortion is among those options because, as he says, government should not interfere with such a family decision.
And if that’s the case, then Mr. Cain’s position has much in common with that of the current occupant in the Oval Office, even if Mr. Godfather claims life commences at conception. Given Barry’s long time pro-death record, starting with his horrific voting record as Illinois state senator and being the only one who opposed BAIPA at the state level, the thought of only being somewhat pro-life gives me occasion to be repulsed.
Mr. Cain recently was one of two GOP candidates to refuse to sign the Susan B. Anthony group pro-life pledge (the other was Romney). Given his statements that he was pro-life from the moment of conception, I personally wasn’t terribly put off by it. There are lots of pro-life groups out there and the SBA group is just one of them. And personally, I’m not a big SBA fan but not because of their pro-life position, though I won’t elaborate.
But now Cain’s refusal to sign this pledge, especially for the reason given, does not wash with me. In fact, it’s almost to point of the Clintonesque “it depends what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is”. It’s not supportable in any way, shape or form. It’s not acceptable.
And it’s non-negotiable with me, period. Barring a sincere 180, I’m likely done with Cain.
Does mean I will turn to the most pro-life candidate in this race, former Sen. Santorum? Likely not. Given his current poll numbers, he consistently ranks at the bottom of the pack or well near it so his chances of getting the nomination are slim to none. And given his weakness on immigration and his support for our wars, this does not endear me to want to throw my support to him. I also feel he would not do very well on the economy in contrast to the non-politician in this race who has a steady history of success at all levels.
I want a candidate that combines the articulations and brains of Herman Cain, the liberty-driven message and mind of Ron Paul without the libertine aspects (though he is solidly pro-life), and the moral convictions of a Rick Santorum. But sadly, I see none out there.
So who or where do I turn to now? Well, I reckon the drawing board. And I weep at that.
Editor’s Note: This will likely be my last post for quite some time as our Internet and phone service are scheduled to be shut off next Wednesday for non-payment. With virtually no money or income coming in and this family’s sad and long standing inability to find an employer in our area to hire us (no doubt Obamacare has something to do with it), we will be forced to go offline indefinitely. We refuse to beg for financial assistance but if anyone out there likes articles like these, wants to see more of them coming and can help pay a $300 bill, feel free to note this in the comment section below or e-mail me at theobamacrisis at ymail.com. Thanks and God bless.
To all reading this post:
I said in May that I was done with my political activism, due in large part to the silence and seeming indifference on the part of the American people to act. I still feel that way. However, in light of Barry’s decision to halt deportations of countless illegals, I must “reactivate” myself, at least for this time. I believe if we do not force Congress to remove him as well as Attorney General Eric Holder and the lesbo Janet Incompetano from her Homeland Security position, we will likely be finished as a nation.
I just finished sending a two page letter to House Judiciary Chairman Lamar Smith’s offices in both DC and Texas to launch impeachment proceedings against our bogus POTUS without delay. I copied my Congressman, Pete Visclosky, as well as the useless Speaker John Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor and have pasted it at the end of this post in case you would like to use it to contact your own Congressmen.
I have intentionally left out my two U.S. senators right now because according to the U.S. Constitution, impeachments begin in the U.S. House. If the House approves of articles of impeachment, then we’ll get the senators going in separate correspondence.
To contact your Congressmen and women, go here and then follow the links to get to your reps. If you plan to contact them before Labor Day, and I fully urge you to so, reach them at their district offices since members of Congress are currently in recess. And make sure a copy of your letter goes to Chairman Smith. I sent mine directly to him with a CC to my Congressman, Peter Visclosky.
Below is what I sent. Feel free to modify it to suit your own tastes but do not threaten any lives in your correspondence – not only is that counterproductive, it is obviously illegal and you may well get the Secret Service or some other federal police agency on your doorstep. We may all want to see the usurper removed in the worst way but urging violence against Congress if they don’t act serves to help no one.
Personally speaking, I would love to see Congress impeach and remove Barry, Holder and Incompetano (Dufus, Dork and Dyke) and then order them to face a military firing squad for their seditious conduct. But don’t you say what you will personally do, if you have such intent, because that can get you in trouble.
If you want to share with me what you wrote, copy and paste the contents into the comments section at the end. Please make sure, however, when you write your Congressman, you post your full mailing address. Your e-mail address is optional but I always post it, despite the fact that most communications I have with my lawmakers is thru fax, which is preferable to e-mail. You can leave your mailing address off in your comments to this post but if you’d like a personal reply, add your e-mail account. I’d be happy to write you back.
Spread the Word. These stooges must go.
Congressman Lamar Smith
Chairman, House Judiciary
U.S. House of Representatives

Dear Congressman Smith:
It is with grave urgency that I write you today. As the chairman of the House Judiciary, you have the capacity to wield a lot of clout. It is in that capacity that I urge you to fully use your power and influence by initiating articles of impeachment against Barry Soetoro, AKA Barack Obama, putative president of the United States and also Eric Holder, U.S. Attorney General, and Janet Napolitano, director of Homeland Security. I would also file charges to expel Congressman Luis Gutierrez of Illinois for his joint seditious conduct with America’s bogus POTUS. The U.S. Senate should do similarly against Sen. Dick Durbin, also of Illinois, for his equally treacherous behavior.
I know you know by now of the executive order issued this past Thursday by this man. I’m referring to the decision to allow “non-violent“ lawbreakers and trespassers to escape deportation and eventually become U.S. citizens while violent criminals, however defined, get deported.
It obviously goes without saying that every illegal alien currently residing in this country is already a criminal by virtue of coming here without an official order to do so. So now we’re going to reward them, assuming they have no violent record, with schooling, jobs, citizenship and more, all without an act of Congress. I’m absolutely beside myself. This is completely wrong!
I don’t know how much Internet you are utilizing while you and the rest of Congress are in recess but if you have time, I suggest you read some of the news articles that allow the public to post comments. I can tell you with no uncertainty that at least 80% (a very conservative estimate) of the posters are absolutely livid with Barry’s decision. In fact, I’d say the numbers are closer to 90%. The American people do not want this, period.
There are two Fox News stories on this and at last count, the number of posters was approaching 19,000. Most of the few Obama supporters agreeing with him make no compelling argument for this decision. It absolutely warrants his removal as well as that of Holder and Miss Incompetano. This decision is seditious, treasonous and impeachable. And by and large, Americans want Congress to act against this man and this administration, despite Congress’s low approval rating.
It is unconscionable that Congress has thus far refused to impeach or otherwise remove this man from office. Here are a few examples of constitutional misconduct that warrant Barry’s removal but for which Congress has looked the other way:
- His fraudulent Hawaiian birth certificate and use of a Connecticut Soc. Sec. number
- His fraudulent Secret Service registration
- His refusal to defend the Defense of Marriage Act
- His decision to try Islamic terrorists in U.S. courts instead of military brigs
- His decision to close Guantanamo Bay and put terrorists in U.S. prisons
- His decision to go declare war on Libya without Congressional authorization
- His lawsuits opposing Arizona’s and Alabama’s bills against illegal immigration
- His lawsuits against Indiana, Kansas and others for restricting abortion funding
- Operation Fast and Furious
- Obamacare and forcing us under penalty of law to buy health insurance
And now the granddaddy of them all, willful failure to enforce federal immigration law and instead granting those who willfully broke our laws legal status. This constitutes treason, an offense which our Founding Fathers declared to be worthy of impeachment. Barry has crossed that line.
So, Rep. Smith, if none of these crimes are impeachable, then millions of Americans must know what are. Look, you were in Congress when Bill Clinton was impeached and you know damn well he was impeached for far less than what the current occupant in the Oval Office has committed. The willful refusal to obey and follow U.S. immigration law is arguably felonious, don’t you agree?
Congress’s blatant refusal to investigate Barry’s Kenyan citizenship is just as treasonous as to what he has done. The American people know by and large, even if you guys stubbornly refuse to admit and look into it, that Barry is an illegal and that Congress and the courts are giving him a pass in that regard. We know that birth certificate released in late April was as phony as a $7 bill.
It is thoroughly unacceptable that Congress is refusing to take action against Barry because he is black and because blacks may riot. Skin color and race are fully irrelevant here. The numerous crimes Barry has committed, plus the highly questionable, if not outright false, matter of his foreign citizenship absolutely necessitates his removal. This matter is open and shut.
Barry has called on Congress to return early to go to work for the American people. He’s right. Congress needs to return now, not after Labor Day, to start hearings to remove him. Come Monday morning, you need to call fellow members of the Judiciary Committee, particularly those in your own party, as well as Speaker Boehner and Majority Leader Cantor, to advise them of the urgency to return to Washington and that impeachment proceedings must commence promptly.
If after all these arguably impeachable crimes Congress still decides to refrain from seeking Barry’s exit, then We the People must do the unprecedented and force you and Congress to act. If that means we go in unprecedented numbers to DC, by tens of millions of Americans, despite the economic decimation of so many of us patriots and our lack of finances and time to go, then we must. If that means we stand outside every district and state office of all 535 senators and Congressmen (for those of us who cannot physically go to Washington) to compel them to act, then we must. If that means committing acts of civil disobedience, then we must. We cannot allow our country to rot at the expense of one man and a legislative body’s decision to ignore his crimes. This nation is bigger than Barry Soetoro. Congress’s perpetual ignoring of our letters, faxes, e-mails and calls to act has forced us to the brink. Our country must be saved at all cost.
As you well know, Congressman, presidents have historically been viewed as the consummate examples of patriotism, character and integrity. When a president abdicates those traits, it sends a message that it’s OK to break laws, with or without impunity. This president, a dubious one at best, has done that countless times throughout his life, both public and private. To refuse to indict him for his numerous crimes tells Americans, particularly young impressionable ones, that the high and mighty and privileged are immune from being prosecuted for wrongdoing. If you and Congress refuse to step up to the plate now, you all are just as guilty by being complicit with him.
I love my country but I hate what is being done to it. As a result, we must do our part to stop the hemorrhaging. Please, I beg of you, do the right thing now and launch Barry’s impeachment. We cannot wait til Nov. 2012 for the country to heal. It must begin now and it must begin with you and the Judiciary Committee. God bless America.
In my most recent piece, I stated that commentary would be my last until further notice. This one here is my “further notice”. And this is the finale. I have finally thrown in the towel on political activism – not because I want to but because I realize I can’t save the country by myself, nor can a few thousand. And too many Americans are AWOL.
There are only two options that I see to save the country. One is getting 50-60 million patriotic Americans (roughly 15-20% of the population) to go to Washington and not leave until Barry Soetoro is ousted. I believe this would put the fear of God in those who live there and make and enforce the laws that affect our daily lives.
But although I think this is the better of the two options, there are a couple major drawbacks. One of them is getting that number of people from across the 50 states to come. The long travel and cost to get to DC, particularly from states more than a couple hundred miles away, plus lodging, would be too heavy on most pocketbooks in this country’s desperate financial state.
The other drawback would be such an event would arguably create the worst traffic jam ever in American history. It would easily eclipse all those horrendous gridlocks we all hear about in California, particularly in Los Angeles and south of there. It would be a literal nightmare, regardless of the means of logistics used to get to DC. However, my concern here is not so much for the DC residents and law enforcement that would be forced to deal with it as it would be for the patriots making the long (or short) haul. In short, so many of the 50-60 million would never be able to be there, no matter how hard they tried. It would be the equivalent of stuffing phone booths with countless humanoids.
The second option is what I alluded to at the conclusion of that last article. And that is we would organize and mobilize citizens across all 50 states to stage daily pickets and rallies outside every district office of every Congressman and senator until action was taken to remove the usurper. A sustained presence outside these offices on a 5-6 day basis could not ignored by the press, the aides to the Congressmen and senators and the Congressmen and senators themselves. For whatever reason, despite a seemingly endless litany of constitutionally legitimate reasons to remove Mr. Soetoro, Republicans and Democrats don’t want to do the right thing and force this man out. The only way they will do so is if millions of these Americans made the jaunt to the local offices of these men and women and committed their presence there until Soetoro’s ouster is completed.
But as I said in that piece, the number of people who responded favorably to this idea (which I cannot take sole credit for) out of a massive e-mail was less than the amount of fingers on one hand. I’m not even going to break it down the percentage of the response as it was, in this writer’s view, a complete embarrassment. I cannot adequately state how disheartened I was and still am at the colossal lack of response and interest of the patriots on this writer’s e-mail database. That, coupled with a more recent turn of events, has forced me to waive the proverbial white flag. I am all but finished as an activist.
I mean, folks, what’s it going to take to force Congress to remove Barry Soetoro? His refusal to enforce America’s immigration laws and instead sue the state of Arizona for trying to do what the feds won’t – isn’t that treason? His bluntly stated refusal to defend the lawfully enacted Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) violates Article II, Section 3 to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed”. His refusal to consult Congress before waging war on Libyaand military attack on a Pakistani compound (for which I do not for one moment believe Osama Bin Laden was alive at the time of assault)? His release of a “long form” birth certificate that was almost immediately debunked as photo shopped and thus totally bogus? What about Barry’s fraudulent use of a Connecticut Social Security number? What about his alleged forged Selective Service draft registration?
This is just a small sampling of the crimes America’s putative president has committed. Congress ignores the obvious, leaving it up to the people to search for the truth. And when the truth is found and shared with Congress, it looks the other way, no matter how compelling the findings may be.
And while we have patriots who fiercely want Barry removed, virtually none of them (at least that I can see) are willing to get in their vehicles and stand and hold signs outside these Congressional and senatorial offices, demanding our elected representatives do their duty and impeach or otherwise force the usurper’s removal.
So if we refuse to do something that is not at all difficult but at most a bit inconvenient (traveling to the offices of our elected officials) and there is no national interest to do so, why should I continue my activism? How many more e-mails must we continue to forward over and over before we say enough is enough? Frankly, I’m not interested in sending any more electronic messages on how bad Obama is, what he has done, what he is doing to the country to bring it to oblivion, etc. If what we know today is far more than sufficient to warrant his ouster, why should I read dozens more e-mails and web pages of how horrible this scum is? I know enough now. He must go now. We can’t wait until November 2012. But if you really want to wait until then, I will assure you this right now – our nation is finished.
Are the American people too content to enjoy American Idol & Dancing with the Stars to be bothered with the country and what will be left for future generations? Sure seems so.
Whenever this writer has to go to the grocer to pick up necessities, regardless of which store it is, there is hardly a time where the CD vending machine stationed outside or adjacent to its premises doesn’t have someone in line using it or waiting to use it. In fact, just a few weeks ago, I observed a line of 10-12 people waiting to access the machine at one local store. And believe me, the temptation has been there for me to go up to some of these younger ones to shake them by the bootstraps, asking them where their priorities are. Sadly it can be seen that it isn’t God and country. The boob tube, Hollywood, the CD vending machines and Netflix, among other things, seem to beckon the interests of the American people more than the nation’s destruction done by our putative president with Congress looking in the opposite direction.
I’m not saying we shouldn’t educate ourselves with what is going on in the country and grind our e-mails to a halt. We should. But I don’t need to read any more stories how bad Obama is. I know that all quite well. I don’t need to know any more about Barry’s background, his bogus birth certificate, his lack of natural born citizenship, etc. The facts are out there, they cannot be denied and they are in abundance.
I look at the recent 40 Days for Life whereby men and women, teens, and boys and girls all congregated outside abortion clinics all across America, praying for an end to the holocaust on our children and counseling would be terminating moms to keep their children. The people present there have not only saved the lives of the unborn but have greatly reduced the number of people entering these houses of horror.
And if that was not enough, there were days where clinics were closed because of the presence of these ordinary men and women who sacrificed their time to do what they did.
And if that still wasn’t enough, there were reports of clinics permanently shutting their doors. You can read all these day by day heroics and miracles at the 40 Days website.
So if young and old across America can meet day in and day out for 40 consecutive days to save babies and close abortion mills, why the heck can’t we all get out in front of every Congressional and senatorial office every Monday thru Saturday for at least 40 days and put a close on the Barack presidency? It’s still in existence today because we don’t care enough to stop it. I can almost guarantee that a 40 days presence will make many a man and woman lawmaker very uneasy about being silent on Obama. A 40 day presence will compel them to act if the numbers are sustained and by the thousands and millions. It’s up to us, people. How bad do you want our putative president removed?
Until enough Americans say we want to be regularly outside of all our lawmakers’ offices, all 1500-2000 of them, until the usurper is removed, count me out of further activism. The number one thing we need is Obama’s removal. Without that, the rest of the stuff, while maybe carrying a level of importance, is ultimately irrelevant.
I still am willing to coordinate this project. But it will take each of you to express your serious interest to me to do so. Use the comment section or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Without it, I’m done dancing. This is otherwise my last post, period.
After long thought and consideration, I have decided to make this piece my last for this blog until further notice. I want to share my personal thoughts and feelings for this decision and will do so at the close of this piece. But first I’d like to go back and cover something our putative president told us on the 2008 campaign trail.
Perhaps there is nothing more frightening than the thought of a military-like presence in a residential neighborhood. It’s even more chilling than seeing lines of squad cars cordoning off a street to check drivers to see if they’re drinking and/or not wearing a seat belt, the latter being a blatant unconstitutional violation of the 4th Amendment.
The images of a group of law enforcement officers walking thru a community sends a message that a crime is about to be averted or if in place, shut down. In such cases, most residents of that community would relish such a presence or at least not be bothered or intimidated by it, unless it becomes a regular pattern.
But seeing military commandos walking down our sidewalks or cruising down our streets would like send shivers up most any normal human being. Yet as disturbing as this would be, the thought of some largely unknown civilian army (with no direct ties to either the U.S. military or traditional law enforcement agencies) parading thru a city would possibly not only send shockwaves thru its residents but create massive and likely unprecedented panic and fear. Most any rational headed man or woman would equate such activity to that of a police state with images of what occurs in many foreign nations coming to mind.
I know. Because when I first heard Obama mention this civilian army at a campaign stop in Colorado, those thoughts and images raced through and plagued my entire being. I could envision the gross and blatant violation of our 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Amendments.
And mind you, I’m no conspiracy theorist. I don’t see how any normal minded law abiding individual could not be fearful of possibly being escorted from his or her dwelling to a prison or makeshift concentration camp by a law enforcement officer or military official, let alone a civilian army official, however that may be defined.
But a couple recently surfaced items have compelled me to reexamine what Obama might have implied when he was making his run for the White House. Mind you, these are only observations. And mind you, I know as so many of you do that Obama is a serial liar. He is the equivalent of the little boy crying “Wolf!” on steroids. He should not be trusted on pretty much anything. He is perhaps an instrument of the Islamic doctrine of taqiyya.
But what if Obama meant what he said in this regard? What if he truly wants to assemble an army that is as strong as our current military forces, if not stronger? We may not have an idea of what his true intent is but if it begins like with the expansion of the Americorps as Michael Savage points out here, or with this idea, or even with this one (worth viewing since it incorporates excerpts from both previous videos, plus more), we better sober up.
One of those items introduces us to the new Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy. The question that begs for an answer upon seeing the name of the school is this: what leadership skills does America’s allegedly legit president possess that entitles his name to go on a school building and set as an example for others to emulate? But beyond that, since Obama has sealed all his papers from public purview via executive order, his very first upon assuming office, we don’t have any transcripts as a student, awards as a teacher (if he so was one) or any other related documentation from his classroom or teaching days as examples of why a school should be named for him. Therefore, we don’t know what caliber of an individual this mystery man possesses other than of the unproven hearsays from talking heads on radio, TV and the Internet.
The limited information on the schools website doesn’t reveal much of anything different than we might read about a traditional public school. Dancing Czars exposes a few tidbits of details about its chief administrator there as a result of an unlinked story posted there.
Other details that might be revealed thru a Google search pans out nothing out of the ordinary, though a short video (volume quality is poor) gives the indication that this will probably be an all black school. Based on the school district’s testing criteria, curricula here would seem to be that of any other middle school and high school in the Dallas district. So maybe there’s nothing here.
But I do have this gnawing feeling, given the army videos and what is known about Obama, that there could be something more sinister in the brewing, like:
Will the school attract Muslims and teach about Islam in any capacity?
Will there be political activities on campus, particularly ones that will endeavor to recruit students to government service and some form of military combat?
Will the school be a recruitment source for Democrats? With Obama’s name on the outside and his political prowess, I wouldn’t put this past him, despite the fact that schools are not supposed to be tools for political party organization. Recall the hubbub from Sept. 2009 when Obama used his bully pulpit to speak to public school students from the Oval Office upon their return to school.
With this being an all male school, was the gender segregation done to keep young impressionable students disciplined towards their studies? Or realizing how Obama is the most pro-homo (putative) president ever in office, knowing how he seeks to promote the agenda at every turn and how he may have such tendencies himself, will this be a subtle effort to teach and homosexualize pupils? Don’t laugh. Massachusetts has been the one state subsidizing taxpayers to do so.
It does seem a bit peculiar in a strong conservative Republican state like Texas that a school named for our alleged president (and who is largely unpopular there) now exists. Perhaps I’m reading too much into it. Maybe I’m going overboard politicizing it. But what if I’m not? There may indeed be nothing to this. But with Obama being who he is, a homosexual embracing Muslim and a person who has done nothing, despite widespread concerns, to prove he’s a natural born citizen, I’d rather be safe than sorry in saying this.
The second item is in all likelihood a bigger consideration for Obama’s civilian army. And that pertains to the tragic December repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell (DADT) in the U.S. armed forces. It was a horrible decision by Congress to approve of it but it fits right in line with who Obama is and what he supports. Sadly, it’s being implemented right before our very eyes. And if you want to know how repulsive the results of repeal are showing itself to be, here you go. You have to read it to believe it.
4 months ago, Gen. James Amos, commandant of the U.S. Marines, our best of the best in uniform, made a strong case against the DADT repeal to Congress. Less than two months after, he and one of his juniors have been apparently brainwashed to do the 180 (upper video – can also be seen directly on You Tube here).
It’s a terrible blight on our nation, both the acceptance of homosexual conduct as federal policy and the foisting of it on the men (and women) in uniform. We can thank most of the Democrats as well as a few Republicans and the likely bogus POTUS for the repeal.
I know, some of you may be asking, “What does the DADT repeal have to do with Obama’s idea of civilian army – the federal military would have nothing to do with that”.
It all starts with one word as I alluded to two paragraphs ago: brainwashing.
Now let me hasten to add that I don’t know if there will be a correlation between a civilian army and the U.S. Armed Forces. But if you can “convert” a prized and principled military leader like James Amos into accepting openly degrading and unnatural sexual behavior among the men (and women) who wear the uniform, well, you might be able to “convert” anyone.
We don’t know what went on behind the scenes with Obama, Defense Secretary Bob Gates and other high ups to cause Commander Amos to alter his apparent previously strong position on homosexuals in the military. If you didn’t know how principled it was, just read the second paragraph here. Not only was he opposed to repeal but so were the chiefs of the Army & Air Force. And back in May, so was the head of the Navy.
So with our military’s finest now deluded to accept degrading and unnatural sexual acts and to allow such practitioners to openly serve, it appears we’ve reached the end of an era of integrity. What has been both historically and Biblically viewed as verboten is now publicly tolerated, if not enthusiastically embraced, as part of our “brave” new military.
So how does the DADT repeal square with Obama’s concept of a civilian army as powerful as our actual military? This is a theory but follow along.
No matter how hard the left and homosexuals on the left try to mainstream homosexual activity as normal and safe, the facts completely undo such thinking. Most rational kids with normal childhoods do not enter puberty with raging hormones to engage in sexual activity with someone of their own gender. Those who participate in such activities (more so men) find themselves personally conflicted and confused, both from a moral standpoint as well as a natural one. Those who persist in such activities find themselves dug in to it and gradually become firmly entrenched, generally believing from both a moral and natural standpoint that there is no issue with homosexual conduct. Such people cannot distinguish right from wrong and this is why there is grave danger with the change of the DADT policy.
As is known by those of us who watch and read what is going on in the White House, we know that Obama has more homosexuals and homosexual sympathizers and allies than any previous president and perhaps more than all presidents combined since Reagan. It would be too lengthy to detail all the groups and events with a homosexual “flavor” that have been part and parcel of the Obama agenda but suffice it to say that it is extensive and if you’re not sure of it, just plug it all into your favorite search engine.
With our military in the process of being brainwashed on homosexual conduct, it stands to reason that Obama may be making plans to have America’s military leaders train public outcasts to be part of his civilian army. And what better way to do so than train avowed homosexuals as well as Muslims, to the extent the two can coexist?
Radical homosexuals and radical Muslims do not like America as it is and want to make it into an image that our Founding Fathers could never envision. To do away with traditional marriage in favor of any faux form of it and to attempt to mainstream Islam and the Koran in America would drastically alter our national fabric. Yet that is exactly what Obama is doing, given the sizable number of homosexuals and Muslims in his administration. To put the two generally disaffected groups together would seem to be a Herculean task, given the views of some Middle Eastern nations towards homosexual and given how many hard core homosexuals view any religion, be it Islam or Christianity.
Yet that’s what Obama seems to be achieving, which is partly why I believe that if he is not the antichrist, he is at least paving the way for him. What other discrete and divergent groups are so enamored with this empty suit?
So if homosexuals and Muslims are heavy in the Obama Administration, more so than all previous (legitimate) presidents combined, and our U.S. military is being brainwashed on homosexual behavior and Islam, why would such individuals not be considered to be part of an Obama civilian army? Add to that the illegals currently residing in the U.S. that he enthusiastically embraces as well as disaffected black youth (which have been seen in military-like training exercises on You Tube) and you may have some form of civilian army full of outcasts beyond our wildest imaginations.
Of course, this is a theory and I accept that I could fully be in error here. But think about it. What kind of folks would consider being part of a civilian military led by an anti-American “president” other than the disaffected or those who view themselves as such? Would your normal every day Americans, even liberal ones, who go to work and raise families consider taking up arms against their fellow Americans? I’m not even sure you can get your hardest of hard core Democrat leftists in public office (the Nancy Pelosis, the Barbara Boxers, the Harry Reids, Dick Durbins, etc.) to do so.
But if you’re not an American citizen, as Barack Obama is suspected not to be, then what’s to keep you from taking arms against the country you live in. Lack of allegiance would be a dead giveaway to someone thinking of putting together a civilian army. But who’s to say Obama has any? Remember, there was likely a reason he didn’t cross his hand over his heart during the playing of the national anthem. It wasn’t an accident.
The volumes of evidence showing Obama not to be constitutionally qualified because he’s not a natural born citizen are almost insurmountable. And there is scant little, if any, evidence that Obama would not take up arms against the American people if it gets really bad. And that is getting nearer to reality, especially as Americans are looking at whether Obama really met the constitutional requirements for the presidency.
I’m not going to address the FEMA camps that have been alleged where Americans may find themselves as a result of rebelling against the Obama Administration. It has been viewed as conspiracy thinking. It may well be. But what if it’s not? Although I don’t plan to discuss it in this piece, is it out of the realm that Obama could not use these facilities against us by rounding us up and putting us there? I would not be too quick to dismiss it. A call for a civilian army arouses the wildest of imaginations, many of which should not arbitrarily be dismissed.
One last point. Some folks may think Obama was conjuring up every thought he could when he was on the campaign trail, including the civilian army. And now from what we know about Obama since taking office 2+ years ago, a good many of us know that he’s a serial liar who cannot be trusted to tell the truth on virtually anything. So is it possible that he could be lying about the civilian army as well? Yes, he could.
But what if this is the one rare exception whereby Obama tells us the truth? We would be remiss if we pooh poohed it.
As those of you know and have followed me for years, you know I love writing. I believe God has gifted me to do so. From my days of writing for The Reality Check and Alan Keyes Renew America to my Seat Belt Choice website (inactive) to my Stop the ACLU website (also inactive) to my blogs and miscellaneous places, I have cherished getting the word out on so many items. I have been blest with a rich knowledge of all the news and resources the Internet has to offer as well as the Holy Scriptures which has shaped my thinking and world view of what I have gleaned from being online for nearly a decade. It’s long been my hope, prayer and passion that what I have shared, both via e-mail and my websites and blogs, would make an impression and impact on all I’ve come to meet.
Make no mistake about it. Those of you whom God has put in my path have helped shape my thinking and world view. Your knowledge and analyses of public figures, national and world events and spiritual matters have blessed me to no end. Being able to spread the word on these items and compel lawmakers to address them for the betterment of the states and country we live in is something I am proud of.
However, there gets to be a point where one has to ask themselves (as I have) how much more we need to spread the word on something to get our message out. I have now come to that point. I no longer want to be an armchair quarterback or general, either to you, my readers and supporters, or to our elected officials. I want to be where the action is.
I can no longer sit at my computer for hours on end composing and sending compelling messages, be they in the form of e-mails, news items for my website or blog, or for action items to lawmakers at the state and federal level.
Last month, I wrote this piece. At the suggestion of a fine patriotic woman and contact, I outlined how we all must come together to encompass all the district offices of every Congressman and woman and U.S. senator in America for the purpose of impeaching or otherwise removing Barack Obama from the White House. I originally thought it would be a fabulous idea if we all went to Washington (like 20-50 million of us) to force the usurper out. I still think it is a great idea. But not too many folks can make the long trip to DC, because of jobs (for those who still have them), finances, families or simply the distance to travel to DC, especially those who live more than a few hours north, south or west of the capitol. It simply becomes not feasible because of the logistics involved.
So I proposed this idea to the many contacts I have from my Stop the ACLU days as well as others I’ve come to know since my active days there. I thought we finally had something tangible we could make an impact for. We wouldn’t have to go across the country to Capitol Hill. We could just go to the district offices of all our Congressional officials and hold up signs, demanding action from them on Obama. The pressure for Congress to act would be too great to ignore if all 535 elected officials in Congress had their local offices blanketed with impeachment and removal signs. Doing this on a daily basis would be something that could not be ignored.
As a result of my e-mail, I cannot tell you how dismayed I was when the number of responses I got to the idea on my blog amounted to less than one hand’s fingers. I thought this idea was a sure winner. But by the deafening silence conveyed from my e-mail, it was clear that a good many of my contacts did not think so, preferring to do nothing or be little more than armchair generals operating from their keyboards. We can no longer keep the status quo. Unfortunately, some of us are content to be so, despite the country being stolen from us by the likes of Obama, Eric Holder and Janet Napolitano and a House Speaker (John Boehner) who doesn’t have the balls to tell Obama to show his papers or quit, nor to insist that taxpayer abortion funds and EPA funding be removed from budget considerations.
Though we must never cease educating our friends, families and others on the numerous agenda items the country faces day in and day and the dangers Obama poses to us both individually and corporately, there comes a time where we absolutely have to leave the keyboard behind and take to the streets. This is that time. America is in crisis mode with a dangerous man in the Oval Office and a Congress with a speaker who “takes Obama at his word” instead of investigating himself whether he’s a natural born U.S. citizen.
We can call, write, fax and e-mail Congress all we want but with few exceptions, its members will not listen to us. The only way they will hear us (along with the media) is if they see a sustained presence outside their 1200-1500 offices across the fruited plain with signs demanding Obama’s removal. It’s cheaper than going to Washington and requires nothing except wheels to get to their offices and makeshift signs demanding they act immediate. Not everyone can go every day to a Congressman or senator’s office. But we can ensure that coverage is consistent six days a week. There needs to be at least 100 men and women outside of every congressional and senatorial office in America on a daily basis (Monday thru Saturday) if we’re going to have a chance to save the nation. Obama, Holder and Napolitano will not go if we stay home. Patriotism demands action now!
As the venerable conservative Jewish columnist Don Feder wrote, “Where’s the Outrage“?
Unless and until we are willing to adopt the details laid out on my previous article, America will likely further sink into oblivion. Lots of well-intentioned folks have great ideas to restore the constitutional republic via different methods. The problem is many of those methods are largely not understood by the public. The ideas are in many ways compelling. However, most are not readily comprehended and virtually none get rid of the petulant man child in the Oval Office. The idea listed on my blog is easily understood and requires no experience, just patriotism and perpetual calls for Obama to go.
The issue is not can we do it but will we? If patriotism is still alive and you want to get involved in this national effort, you’ll contact me. If it’s dead and you don’t want to get involved, you won’t. But think about what you will leave for those behind you if you decide that saving the country for your children and from a bogus president doesn’t warrant a little time and sacrifice on your part.
This is my last call to everyone. I pray for an unprecedented response. Because without it, America’s finest days may well have passed us by. And without it, my activist days will likely go into the annals of American history.
Many of us are familiar with the Whitney Houston classic “The Greatest Love of All” (also sung by George Benson). Though it is new agey in a way, there is a lesson to be grasped. Consider these lines:
Everybody’s searching for a hero
People need someone to look up to
I never found anyone to fulfill my needs
A lonely place to be
And so I learned to depend on me
For years, America’s conservatives, patriots and for that matter, anyone who wanted an impartial view of the news and wanted a media heavyweight behind it could depend on FoxNews.com and the Fox News Channel. When we couldn’t get it from ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, we could rely on America’s “hero”. If we couldn’t get the story at all (other than on lesser known websites and blogs), we knew we could find it on Fox.
Some folks have been saying for quite some time now that Fox has discarded its moniker “we report, you decide”. Yes, it could be seen in some respects. Perhaps no one was more biased on some issues (albeit not all) than the true pinhead, Bill O’Reilly.
But there still existed a consensus from Fox reporters and hosts like Britt Hume and Sean Hannity that we could get both sides of a story and the public would figure out what was truth and what was not.
Those days at Fox are pretty much over. Fox has been one of the last media venues to address the issue no one there dared touch, that being Barack Obama’s birth certificate (BC) and presidential eligibility. The issue percolated when Hawaii’s Gov. Neil Abercrombie earlier this year publicly announced that he wanted to put an end to it all by ordering the release of the alleged BC.
But when he ran into circumstances that forced him to backtrack, the media was forced to sit up and take notice. The burst of entrepreneur and tycoon Donald Trump onto the 2012 presidential scene and his outspokenness on the absence of any proof of natural born citizenship of America’s putative prez quickly kicked the issue into high gear. Suddenly he was getting interviews on media outlets across the spectra. With Fox sticking out like a sore thumb on its then non-participation, it was forced to cover what it cringed doing.
These became Maalox moments for O’Reilly, Hannity, Greta Van Susteren, Neal Cavuto, Megyn Kelly and others at Fox shunning to discuss what the public is increasingly concerned about (besides jobs and high gas and food prices).
But instead of running with the issue and giving both sides of the story, the talking heads at Fox were acting like politer versions of PMSNBC’s Chris Matthews and Joe Scarborough, CNN’s Suzaane Malveaux, the New York Times Gail Collins and others, treating Trump and his supporters with skepticism as to why this should be a national issue.
And then Fox comes out with this hit piece yesterday, the “coup de gras” to its previous history of impartiality. And boy, as you will see, it is loaded with disdain at those of us who not only question but seriously doubt the presidential credentials of Barack Obama.
A quick summary of the Fox blatant bias comes in four parts:
- “Polls show that the billionaire reality star’s popularity has been on the rise as he’s taken up the so-called “birther” cause”. As Trump points out, the term “birther” has been, in his words (and mine), a “pejorative” (AKA slur). Anyone using this term in an article, other than in a quote, is likely using it as a point of mockery and disdain. Fox repeats the term in the third to last paragraph, not as a quote from someone but inserting its own two cents.
- “appealing to a fringe movement”. So people like me who question Obama’s lack of natural born citizenship appear to be “fringe” folks (AKA extremists). Funny but that doesn’t seem to jive with some recent polling. Perhaps Fox is the one on the fringe.
- “Most mainstream politicians have rejected this conspiracy theory as hokum, but Trump has embraced it”. So questioning whether Obama lines up with being a natural born citizen, according to Article II, Section 1, Paragraph 5 of the Constitution is now viewed by Fox as conspiratorial and “hokum”, another word for nonsense.
- “Though the president has produced a certificate of live birth”. This is disingenuous reporting on the part of Fox. There are countless articles from experts debunking the so-called birth certificate, too many to list here, but if you have lived in a hut over the last 2-3 years and haven’t seen an example of a truly bogus document compared to a bonafide one, compare Obama’s phony BC to Trump’s legitimate one.
(Is Fox so far removed that they want its readers to believe that the one Obama originally posted on his Fight the Smears website is authentic? Puhleez!)
In the top left corner of the Fox page (as well as all its news pages) you see below its logo “Fair and Balanced”. Frankly, there’s zilch that’s fair on this piece and if this is balanced, then I have a bridge for sale in New York I can offer you for next to nothing.
If those questioning Obama’s constitutional eligibility to be president is viewed as fringe, then maybe Fox staff should view the 10,500+ comments (and counting) in just over a 24 hour period (at the time of this writing). Granted, there are opposition posts to those of us who believe Obama is ineligible but by far, the vast majority of posters here see a big problem. And Fox thinks the 9-10,000 who do are fringe? How many other articles of theirs at any time get posted comments into the five figures? Look at the “Most Commented” list to the right and try to find ones there (or any other recently past article) with anything remotely close.
Perhaps someone could ask Fox why no one individual wants to put his or her name as the author of this hit piece since none is listed.
And maybe someone could ask Hannity (if you can get thru to him) how prior to the 2008 election he could dig up so much dirt on Obama and his shady character pals like Bill Ayers, Tony Rezko, and Rev. Jeremiah Wright and his arguably racist church but then make a boneheaded statement on this past Thursday’s show, saying to his so-called great American panel (web link cannot be found but the show was seen by this writer), “I assume the president was born in the United States”.
Memo to Sean (if he’s listening): Hey, buddy, why don’t you do the same research on Obama’s questionable natural born status in the same way you did his connections three years ago instead of just assuming? And if you come up with the same things so many of us have come up with, why not use both your radio and TV shows to report your findings? If Ruppert Murdoch or Roger Ailes fires you for doing so, consider it as a badge of honor to God, country and your audience. You will have done a heroic service to America and you will be highly valued and respected for standing on principle instead of with the hush hushers at the Fox hierarchy who appear to prefer to bow to Obama and his FCC instead.
You’re financially set with the nice six figure salary you get at Fox. Because of this and other reasons, isn’t the possible loss of your job at Fox worth it as a sacrifice to get the truth out on Obama and his ineligibility? Wouldn’t you want to be a hero to your audience, constitutionalists, conservatives and other patriots? Or is the Rodney King mentality, “can’t we all just get along” more important to you?
If you wish to e-mail the last paragraph to Hannity, his address is email@example.com. However, do not expect a reply or comment unless it’s in the multiples of thousands. He doesn’t advertise his e-mail address any more. At least O’Reilly still does, though don’t expect him to respond to this matter if you write him on it. But if you wish to do so, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Unfortunately, it appears Fox is not alone among the prestigious so-called conservative news sites when it comes to Barack’s ineligibility. The Washington Times also came up with this slightly slanted piece, albeit not as heavily so, this past Friday. The term “birther” was injected twice and “talk show conspiracists” once. But at least the writers’ names were provided and there was a little more objectivity here than the Fox story.
Memo to WT writers David Eldridge and Ben Wolfgang: Why does this issue not command your investigation? Are you unaware that constitutional lawyer Mario Apuzzo, one of those suing the Obama Administration, has advertised several times in your paper, including as recently as last month? Have you read his ad. Is it not compelling? Or is Mario a kook in your opinion? Don’t you think you could take a little time to talk to him (his contact info is readily observable on his home page. I assure you, he does interviews.
E-mail info for Mr. Eldridge and Mr. Wolfgang are noticeably absent here but if you’re interested in contacting them thru the paper or by fax or submitting a letter to the editor, details can be located here.
I won’t yet lump the WT into the category Fox now officially belongs to, the “Unfair and Imbalanced” one, since there is a general fairness in their writings – the ones on repealing Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, or DADT, in the military (like this one) are very sound. And it is good on most other matters. But it is one we need to keep our eyes on.
That said, our hero sources are dwindling, those that have significant name recognition. It’s becoming more fashionable to read the lesser known sites and blogs for they have readers to gain. Sources like Fox, the WT, NewsMax and others have large reader bases. With biased reporting like seen in the above news story, Fox’s audience will likely drop some of its support, at least from those who watch its shows. The online site will likely maintain a high volume because unlike with the TV, you can pick what you want to read and view anytime. You don’t have that luxury on the boob tube, unless you switch the channel.
But it must be said that the Fox News Channel is not one of us any more. It doesn’t fulfill our needs that much any more. And so we will learn to depend on others for fair and balanced. Because Fox has abandoned it. And it must now pay the price in its ratings until such time it decides to cater to its audience and not Obama and the Saudis who are helping Mr. Murdoch in veering away from its previously refreshing coverage.
So now that I’ve reported the facts, it’s up to you to decide whether to believe them.
If you’re like me, you’re wondering what we have to do as a country to remove putative President Barack Obama from the White House as well as his attorney general, Eric Holder. Millions of rallies, pickets, protests, e-mails, calls, faxes, letters, etc. to members of Congress to either impeach Obama or simply call for his removal due to his all but certain lack of U.S. citizenship has fallen on deaf ears. No matter how much we cry out because of Obama’s countless unprecedented and unconstitutional actions, it seems as if the U.S. House & Senate have become immune to the voices of the American people.
So does that mean we toss in the towel and wait until Nov. 2012 to remove the impostor? Not on your life! We may not even have a country by then and I do not say that lightly. It’s almost beyond arguable that the actions of King George and his British armies prior to our nation’s founding pale in contrast to today’s constitutionally dubious president.
There are two things we absolutely must do on a daily process while the political process (and our prayers) plays out. First, we must recall some of Winston Churchill’s most notable quotes such as, “Never, never, never give up”, “If you’re going thru hell, keep going” and “We shall never surrender”. We must be in this to win. We cannot even entertain the thought of losing. Our country is literally at stake.
Second, we would do well to look to the Good Book for guidance, like Luke 18:1-8.
1And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
2Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
3And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
4And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
6And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
8I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
Vs. 1 instructs us to pray and not faint, or in other words, not to give up. While the premise of this scripture is to continually seek and petition the Almighty for answers to our prayers, the analogy Jesus describes is the one we should look to in a political sense. However, it is imperative we do not forget God and Christ throughout the process for without staying attached to the Lord, we can accomplish nothing (John 15:5).
Verses 2-5 in our vernacular could be construed (though it has yet to occur) in our modern day to be the equivalent of asking America’s courts to hear the merits of the dozens of lawsuits challenging Obama’s constitutional credentials to be president. The suits continue to be filed and the cases continue to be dismissed without full hearings. It’s tempting to give up because the system appears to be rigged. But we mustn’t do so.
Perhaps that is how the abused woman in this parable felt. There’s no justice anywhere. Yet she continually pounded the judge’s chambers to hear her out and eventually he waved his own white flag because he was tired of being pestered. As a result, as the scripture says, he gave her the justice she sought.
Then the Lord reminds us in vs. 6 that the judge who rendered his verdict was “unjust”. And boy, do we have enough of them in today’s courts or what?
It is important in our prayer times (for those of us who know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior) to “never give up”, even when things seem bleak. It is, however, also important to be reminded that God does not always say YES to our prayers. He sometimes says NO or tells us to wait or He may answer in an entirely different manner. But it’s vital to never surrender in on our prayers, unless the prayers are totally contrary to the nature of God.
In the same way that we petition to God we must petition Congress continually to begin the constitutional process of removing the putative president. It appears that no matter what Obama is doing, Congress either ignores it or explains it away. A willing failure to secure America’s borders, suing a state that chooses to do so and thus protect its citizens, publicly refusing to defend the lawfully enacted Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and now going to war in Libya sans congressional authorization are all impeachable offenses.
We don’t know what it will to take for the U.S. House and Senate to agree that Obama has committed constitutional atrocities that warrant his removal. If refusing to defend our borders, our marriage laws and refusing to heed Congress before firing strikes on a foreign nation do not qualify as impeachable in the minds of our elected men and women, we don’t know what will. But that does not mean we quit. Yes, it’s terribly distressing for those of us with a keen sense of the obvious. Yet we must regularly pray to the Almighty for our protection and for Congress to do its job. We pray, petition our elected senators and representatives and repeat – every week, every month – until Obama is gone.
For sure this will be tedious. But like the poor woman Jesus described, we don’t abandon our constitutional obligation. We must persist until Congress says YES to the American people. And if we lawfully hassle them enough and show them the monumental proof that our likely illegitimate prez warrants removal, then they may act. To put it in the late Edmund Burke’s words, Congress may not see the light they have felt the (intense) heat.
Only then would Churchill likely be proud.
