The Last Dance – NOT with the Stars

May 9, 2011 1 comment

Dear Readers:

In my most recent piece, I stated that commentary would be my last until further notice.  This one here is my “further notice”.  And this is the finale.  I have finally thrown in the towel on political activism – not because I want to but because I realize I can’t save the country by myself, nor can a few thousand.  And too many Americans are AWOL.

There are only two options that I see to save the country.  One is getting 50-60 million patriotic Americans (roughly 15-20% of the population) to go to Washington and not leave until Barry Soetoro is ousted.  I believe this would put the fear of God in those who live there and make and enforce the laws that affect our daily lives.

But although I think this is the better of the two options, there are a couple major drawbacks.  One of them is getting that number of people from across the 50 states to come.  The long travel and cost to get to DC, particularly from states more than a couple hundred miles away, plus lodging, would be too heavy on most pocketbooks in this country’s desperate financial state.

The other drawback would be such an event would arguably create the worst traffic jam ever in American history.  It would easily eclipse all those horrendous gridlocks we all hear about in California, particularly in Los Angeles and south of there.  It would be a literal nightmare, regardless of the means of logistics used to get to DC.  However, my concern here is not so much for the DC residents and law enforcement that would be forced to deal with it as it would be for the patriots making the long (or short) haul.  In short, so many of the 50-60 million would never be able to be there, no matter how hard they tried.  It would be the equivalent of stuffing phone booths with countless humanoids.

The second option is what I alluded to at the conclusion of that last article.  And that is we would organize and mobilize citizens across all 50 states to stage daily pickets and rallies outside every district office of every Congressman and senator until action was taken to remove the usurper.  A sustained presence outside these offices on a 5-6 day basis could not ignored by the press, the aides to the Congressmen and senators and the Congressmen and senators themselves.  For whatever reason, despite a seemingly endless litany of constitutionally legitimate reasons to remove Mr. Soetoro, Republicans and Democrats don’t want to do the right thing and force this man out.  The only way they will do so is if millions of these Americans made the jaunt to the local offices of these men and women and committed their presence there until Soetoro’s ouster is completed.

But as I said in that piece, the number of people who responded favorably to this idea (which I cannot take sole credit for) out of a massive e-mail was less than the amount of fingers on one hand.  I’m not even going to break it down the percentage of the response as it was, in this writer’s view, a complete embarrassment.  I cannot adequately state how disheartened I was and still am at the colossal lack of response and interest of the patriots on this writer’s e-mail database.  That, coupled with a more recent turn of events, has forced me to waive the proverbial white flag.  I am all but finished as an activist.

I mean, folks, what’s it going to take to force Congress to remove Barry Soetoro?  His refusal to enforce America’s immigration laws and instead sue the state of Arizona for trying to do what the feds won’t – isn’t that treason?  His bluntly stated refusal to defend the lawfully enacted Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) violates Article II, Section 3 to “take care that the laws be faithfully executed”.  His refusal to consult Congress before waging war on Libyaand military attack on a Pakistani compound (for which I do not for one moment believe Osama Bin Laden was alive at the time of assault)?  His release of a “long form” birth certificate that was almost immediately debunked as photo shopped and thus totally bogus?  What about Barry’s fraudulent use of a Connecticut Social Security number?  What about his alleged forged Selective Service draft registration?

This is just a small sampling of the crimes America’s putative president has committed.  Congress ignores the obvious, leaving it up to the people to search for the truth.  And when the truth is found and shared with Congress, it looks the other way, no matter how compelling the findings may be.

And while we have patriots who fiercely want Barry removed, virtually none of them (at least that I can see) are willing to get in their vehicles and stand and hold signs outside these Congressional and senatorial offices, demanding our elected representatives do their duty and impeach or otherwise force the usurper’s removal.

So if we refuse to do something that is not at all difficult but at most a bit inconvenient (traveling to the offices of our elected officials) and there is no national interest to do so, why should I continue my activism?  How many more e-mails must we continue to forward over and over before we say enough is enough?  Frankly, I’m not interested in sending any more electronic messages on how bad Obama is, what he has done, what he is doing to the country to bring it to oblivion, etc.  If what we know today is far more than sufficient to warrant his ouster, why should I read dozens more e-mails and web pages of how horrible this scum is?  I know enough now.  He must go now. We can’t wait until November 2012.  But if you really want to wait until then, I will assure you this right now – our nation is finished.

Are the American people too content to enjoy American Idol & Dancing with the Stars to be bothered with the country and what will be left for future generations?  Sure seems so.

Whenever this writer has to go to the grocer to pick up necessities, regardless of which store it is, there is hardly a time where the CD vending machine stationed outside or adjacent to its premises doesn’t have someone in line using it or waiting to use it.  In fact, just a few weeks ago, I observed a line of 10-12 people waiting to access the machine at one local store.  And believe me, the temptation has been there for me to go up to some of these younger ones to shake them by the bootstraps, asking them where their priorities are.  Sadly it can be seen that it isn’t God and country.  The boob tube, Hollywood, the CD vending machines and Netflix, among other things, seem to beckon the interests of the American people more than the nation’s destruction done by our putative president with Congress looking in the opposite direction.

I’m not saying we shouldn’t educate ourselves with what is going on in the country and grind our e-mails to a halt.  We should.  But I don’t need to read any more stories how bad Obama is.  I know that all quite well.  I don’t need to know any more about Barry’s background, his bogus birth certificate, his lack of natural born citizenship, etc.  The facts are out there, they cannot be denied and they are in abundance.

I look at the recent 40 Days for Life whereby men and women, teens, and boys and girls all congregated outside abortion clinics all across America, praying for an end to the holocaust on our children and counseling would be terminating moms to keep their children.  The people present there have not only saved the lives of the unborn but have greatly reduced the number of people entering these houses of horror.

And if that was not enough, there were days where clinics were closed because of the presence of these ordinary men and women who sacrificed their time to do what they did.

And if that still wasn’t enough, there were reports of clinics permanently shutting their doors.  You can read all these day by day heroics and miracles at the 40 Days website.

So if young and old across America can meet day in and day out for 40 consecutive days to save babies and close abortion mills, why the heck can’t we all get out in front of every Congressional and senatorial office every Monday thru Saturday for at least 40 days and put a close on the Barack presidency?  It’s still in existence today because we don’t care enough to stop it.  I can almost guarantee that a 40 days presence will make many a man and woman lawmaker very uneasy about being silent on Obama.  A 40 day presence will compel them to act if the numbers are sustained and by the thousands and millions.  It’s up to us, people.  How bad do you want our putative president removed?

Until enough Americans say we want to be regularly outside of all our lawmakers’ offices, all 1500-2000 of them, until the usurper is removed, count me out of further activism.  The number one thing we need is Obama’s removal.  Without that, the rest of the stuff, while maybe carrying a level of importance, is ultimately irrelevant.

I still am willing to coordinate this project.  But it will take each of you to express your serious interest to me to do so. Use the comment section or e-mail me at admin@stoptheaclu.org. Without it, I’m done dancing.  This is otherwise my last post, period.
